About Us

Founded in 2009, Tarheel Speech and Language Services is a privately owned company that specializes in the screening, evaluation, and treatment of children with communication delays and disorders. We provide child-centered and highly individualized services to children in Durham, Raleigh, and surrounding areas. All of our therapists are licensed by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists and by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). We also offer bilingual evaluation and therapy services to Spanish-speaking children.  

At Tarheel Speech and Language Services, we enjoy working collaboratively with families and caregivers to facilitate age-appropriate communication development in all settings and environments. We believe that using a team approach is vital to making services appropriate for not only each child’s needs, but each family’s individual dynamics. Furthermore, we strive to make each session fun and highly engaging for the children we work with!
